SuppliedA body has been found by teams searching for a missing 13-year-old boy.
Appeals to find Mylo Capilla were issued after he was last seen at about 21:00 BST on Thursday at an area known as the “Muddies” in Ingleby Barwick, Teesside.
Cleveland Police confirmed officers and partner agencies searching the River Tees had found the body of a boy.
While formal identification has yet to take place, Mylo’s parents have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers, the force said.
The “Muddies” is a large area stretching along the riverbank where children and young people are known to play, residents have said.
Specialist teams, including police drones and dogs, searched throughout Thursday night and into Friday with support from Cleveland Fire Brigade, marine water and mountain rescue.
Ingleby Barwick locals said people wanted to help, but police asked the public to keep away from the search area by the river.
