Black Friday travel deals 2023: Offers on flights, holidays and rail fares – UK Times

With the big day just days away, get prepared to tick iconic destinations off your travel bucket list in 2024 by bagging a bargain on short and long-haul journeys in the Black Friday sales, whether you’re dreaming of European hotspots or trips to the Caribbean.

Black Friday is the ideal opportunity to score discounts on hotel stays, flights and all-inclusive package holidays. Budget travellers could save hundreds on their next trip with travel deals from Booking.com to Expedia and G Adventures.

Last year saw big deductions from Tui, First Choice and easyJet on package holiday deals, with up to £200 off selected summer trips, city breaks and winter sun getaways from the cost-savvy providers.

With offers available from Black Friday on 24 November well into Cyber Monday on 27 November, we’ll be keeping this guide updated in the lead-up to one of the biggest sales event of the year.

Tui

With savings on package holidays, Marella Cruises and Tui River Cruises for eight days this cyber sale season, you won’t want to miss Tui’s Black Friday deals. Holidaymakers can save up to £250 on bookings from 1 January 2024 to April 2025 using code “BLKFRI “ as part of the promotion live until 27 November. There’s also a 10 per cent web discount on all return flights, £300 off of selected Marella Cruises and an additional £15 app exclusive price slash on adventures to far-flung cities and winter sun all-inclusive breaks.

easyJet

Budget airline easyJet is kicking off their Black Friday event with an up to £200 flash sale on package holidays to everywhere from Egypt to Cyprus and Spain when code “BLACKFRIDAY” is applied. With flights departing UK airports from just £20 each way until 27 November, it’s time to book a bargain trip to dreamy destinations worldwide.

National Express

In another collaboration with Amazon after last year’s sell-out Black Friday deal, National Express (and Take That) have announced a huge 75 per cent saving on coach fares for Prime members when they check out using Amazon Pay from 24 November to 4 December. There are 11,000 seats from as little as £3.90 up for grabs for festive travel to over 550 destinations until 31 January 2024 for families to reunite at Christmas for a fraction of the usual price.

Booking.com

Avid travellers can save over 30 per cent on selected hotel reservations and accommodation with Booking.com’s Black Friday offerings from 16-29 November. The cost-saving stays can be booked for dates between now and 31 December 2024, whether a long weekend away or a week of relaxing beside the beach, and there’s even up to 25 per cent off visits activities, including river cruises and guided museum tours, as long as they’re taken within three months of booking.

Expedia

Members of Expedia can sign in to save 30 per cent or more on selected hotels from New York to Dubai when they book before 29 November. That’s a hefty 20 per cent additional discount from the standard members deal of 10 per cent off worldwide hotels in the holiday provider’s biggest travel sale of the year. Holidays with nights in spacious suites and elegant apartments are bookable for travel until the end of 2024 as part of the Black Friday deal.

Interrail by National Rail

Railfans keen for a summer on the tracks in 2024 are probably prepping to book their next interrailing adventure. Interrail by National Rail’s Black Friday savings of 25 per cent on Interrail Global Passes are sure to get the wheels rolling across 33 participating countries up until next June. From 16 to 28 November adult passes for 10 days or longer, previously £363, are on offer for just £272 and, even better than the almost £100 saving, with family passes an accompanying child under 11 travels for free.

Ryanair

To get away for even less, Ryanair’s anticipated Cyber Week deals kickstart on 21 November with new deals on flights and holidays rolling out to email subscribers for an entire week. The budget airline has a whole series of savings including fare discounts of up to 20 per cent and bargain flights to bag from just £19.99 across European city break hotspots and sundrenched North African resorts. 

First Choice

For £250 off your next holiday, First Choice has a week of Pink Friday deals from now until 27 November for trips departing between 1 January 2024 and 30 April 2025. Picture Ljubljana for less, saving on stays in Mexico City and indulging in medieval Bologna without splashing the cash this November on the holiday providers’ select sun, sea and adventure getaways.

G Adventures 

There are big savings on big adventures with G Adventures this Black Friday. Intrepid explorers can save up to 30 per cent per person on small group tours for select dates departing before 30 April 2024. Cruises, National Geographic expeditions and hiking treks to discover the continents must be booked between 1-30 November 2023 to benefit from the adventure travel group’s generous discount.

Lastminute.com

While lastminute.com’s pre-Black Friday flash sales started early, holiday deals are now officially open for booking to secure a steal on package city, sun and long-haul trips now. Destinations including Barcelona, New York and the Maldives feature flights and five-star accommodation from just £199pp as part of the promotion and a seven-night all-in stay in sundrenched Tenerife in January will set travellers back only £559pp.

loveholidays

Loveholidays Black Friday promotion is live until 30 November for budget-savvy travellers to basket savings of up to 30 per cent on selected hotels including five-star winter sun haunts in Tunisia and all-inclusive resorts in Marrakech for less than £450pp. The online travel agent’s top picks from the promotion feature a week at the Hyatt Place Dubai Jumeirah for just £685pp and five nights in NYC for £588pp.

AttractionTickets.com

Those planning a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the US will find 10 per cent off attraction tickets and hotel packages in AttractionTickets.com’s Black Friday sale with code BLACKFRIDAY between 9 and 27 November. This means savings of up to £118.50pp on Orlando Freedom Tickets with 14 days of admission to all Disney, Universal and SeaWorld parks and a £50.30pp price slash on the Grand Canyon West Rim Helicopter & Skywalk Express Tour in Las Vegas.

Royal Caribbean

This Black Friday seafaring travellers can save up to £625pp on their European Royal Caribbean cruises with seven-night balcony staterooms available on Anthem of the Seas journeys across Northern Europe and the Mediterranean from just £999pp. With Anthem of the Seas departing and returning from Southampton in the summer of 2024, this penny-saving promotion from 10 November to 4 December means you won’t even need to worry about airfares. 

Secret Escapes

Secret Escapes’ Black Friday promotion of up to 50 per cent off on getaways is now on. You’ll find price cuts on winter wonderland holidays to Finnish Lapland, Scottish staycations by Edinburgh Castle, adults-only all-inclusives and far-flung sun on safaris in Tanzania. There’s also a chance to win £500 credit towards your next Secret Escapes holiday as part of the sale. Offers end on 28 November. 

Thomas Cook

Hundreds of hotels have discounts of up to 30 per cent as part of Thomas Cook’s Black Friday deals running until Cyber Monday. That’s including savings on the adults-only five-star Ixian Grand in Rhodes, a huge 40 per cent off the family-friendly four-star Xperience Sea Breeze resort in Sharm el Sheikh and 10 per cent off of city breaks to Riu Plaza Gresham in Dublin as part of the annual promotion.

Newmarket Holidays

There are savings of up to 15 per cent available across Newmarket Holidays’ collection of 40 tours from now until 4 December. Think African safaris, Northern Light chasing and trekking through Costa Rican jungles with itineraries that start from just £425pp. Three brand new tours are also included in the discounted breaks “The Heritage of Vietnam & Cambodia” solo holiday, “Japan Unveiled” and the “New England & Canada Fall Colours Cruise” to North America’s autumnal splendour.

WeRoad

If you’re an adventure enthusiast longing to escape to the extraordinary outdoors, discounts on unique tours beckon this autumn. From 20 to 27 November, WeRoad is offering up to 20 per cent off selected tours departing from December 2023 through 2024. Trips featured in the Black Friday deal include the Chile and Argentina Patagonia trek, the Vietnam 360° from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, a Cuban excursion from Havana to Trinidad and a Costa Rican journey between jungle waterfalls, beaches and volcanoes. 

LeShuttle

Self-drive travel under the Channel this winter starts from just £24 each way in LeShuttle’s Black Friday sale. Those who sign up for a free account before 22 November can fill their boots with ski slopes, Christmas shopping and markets without pesky luggage restrictions and for a fraction of the price. New members will receive exclusive access to the promotion running from 24 to 27 November to book discounted trips departing for Calais between November and March. 

Hard Rock International

Hard Rock’s holiday deals for Black Friday include up to 50 per cent off all-inclusive resorts such as Hard Rock Hotel Cancun and Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana and up to 30 per cent off all room rates for city breaks at the Hard Rock Hotel Budapest and the Hard Rock Hotel Madrid, among others. The promotion is available to book from 14 November until 5 December for Hard Rock stays between 18 December 2023 and 31 August 2024.

Intrepid Travel

For a once-in-a-lifetime small group adventure at a much smaller price point, Intrepid Travel’s annual Cyber Sale is offering up to 20 per cent off selected adventures when booking from 17 November to 4 December. Explorers can save hundreds on a Sri Lankan food adventure, a family holiday to Peru and a picturesque pedal through Provence when travelling between 1 December 2023 to 31 August 2024 as part of the promotion.

Contiki

Travellers between 18 and 35 can save big this cyber sale season with 25 per cent shaved off select Contiki social escapes for 2023. Live from 17 November, the discount features on a bucket list worth of European favourites, Thai island-hopping trips, Asian adventures across Cambodia and Laos and new excursions such as a tour of the ancient history and modern K-pop culture in South Korea.

Iglu Ski

As the slopes fill up and the lifts start to spin on ski season, Iglu Ski’s Black Friday deals could save you up to £1000 off the price of a trip to the pistes in Austria and France. There’s even free ski hire until the end of Cyber Monday when you add a ski pass to your booking, £50 discounts per person for slopeside holidays to Aosta, Italy and price-slashed singles supplements for solo skiers heading to Europe as a party of one. 

Celebrity Cruises

Fancy the celebrity treatment as you cruise the seven seas on a floating luxury hotel? Book during the Celebrity Cruises Black Friday sale from 16 November to 5 December to take to the waters of Athens, Alaska and the Western Caribbean with 75 per cent savings on your second guest and up to $600 (£483) in onboard credit. Featured sailings must depart before April 2025 including journeys on the Celebrity Ascent making her maiden voyage in December.

PGL

With PGL, parents can save 24 per cent on all 2024 activity and adventure holidays for the kids or the whole family in the Black Friday sale. The significant saving will be available for one week from 20 November to 27 November when the code “FRIDAY” is applied at checkout, even in tandem with the kids camp multi-buy offer of 15 per cent off when booking for two children.

Butlin’s

Butlin’s Black Friday offer boasts up to 30 per cent off their adult-only “Big Weekender” breaks in 2024, £20 savings on select weekends from January to March and, for families, 10 per cent off all school holiday Butlin’s breaks booked for next year before 28 November. Picture headline acts including Peter Andre and The Wanted’s Max George, pool parties, silent discos, live comedy and bingo on the UK getaways.

Travelsphere

To tour bucket list countries from Thailand, Vietnam, Italy, the US and Canada on a budget, Travelsphere has savings of up to £300pp for select departures between January to July 2024. Book before 30 November to see £1,200 cut off the price of packages for families of four inclusive of return flights, accommodation and excursions.

Away Resorts

Those staycation-savvy travellers who prefer the home-from-home comforts of a UK holiday park can book a trip taken between 20 November 2023 and 31 December 2024 with Away Resorts for 15 per cent less during this month’s cyber sales. From 20 to 27 November the promotion on stays at all 25 parks across England, Scotland and Wales can be applied for watersports fanatics, keen golfers and countryside strollers.

Princess Cruises

There are four great opportunities to save on cruises departing from Southampton to the Mediterranean, Hawaii, and the Caribbean this Black Friday with Princess Cruises. Fares from £399pp, £50pp deposits, £300pp flight discounts and up to $400 spending per stateroom apply to over 200 voyages including journeys onboard the Regal Princess and the Sky Princess until the 27 November. 

Generator and Freehand Hotels

With code “BLACKFRIYAY” travellers can shave a hefty 50 per cent off of stays at Generator and Freehand Hotels in city centres across Europe and the US. From 21 to 27 November, two-night trips taken between 1 January and 31 March 2024 will be all the more affordable when staying in Generator street-facing rooms, sleeping pods, and penthouse suites for half the price. 

Cathay Pacific

To jet set to adventures in Asia-Pacific for less, Cathay Pacific’s £100pp savings on flights from London Heathrow and Manchester, when booked before 26 November, are sure to help you on your way. Discounted routes between 1 December 2023 and 28 June 2024 include Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand and there’s even an extra 20,000 Asia Miles up for grabs when booking Business class tickets on 27 November.

Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve

If you’re curious about taking a staycation safari – yes, really – Port Lympne has huge discounts of up to 50 per cent off its unique accommodation and animal experiences. The conservation hotel’s promotion is valid until 3 December on selected 2024 short breaks using the code “BF23” (the iconic lion and tiger lodges are featured) with the offer also inclusive of £500 savings on Christmas escape packages when code “STAR23” is applied.

HF Holidays

With HF Holidays this Black Friday, there’s 50 per cent off 50 of their UK holidays. That’s self-guided walking holidays in the Isle of Wight, Shropshire and the Lake District complete with accommodation, cream teas, meals and maps from £182.50pp – half the usual price of the heritage tours departing in spring 2024.

P&O Ferries

From 22 to 28 November, P&O Ferries have 20 per cent off of select Dover to Calais and Larne to Cairnryan long-stay ferry fares with codes “BF20PCLS20DC” and “BF20PCRS20LA” and the same saving on midweek return journeys between Hull and Rotterdam when using “BF20PEUS23HU” at checkout. 

What travel deals can we expect in the Black Friday 2023 sale?

If Black Friday 2022 is any indication, expect to see discounts from many of the UK’s major airlines, package holiday providers and hotel groups on airfares, accommodation and attractions in two weeks.
