If your wine rack needs a top-up, then you’ve come to the right place: we’ve tracked down the best deals on top-rated wines.

Whether you’re looking for the perfect bottle of red to sip during cosy evenings in front of the TV, or need a crisp white to pair with fish at your next dinner party, we’ve found some real corkers. We’ve even found some remarkably drinkable rosé wines.

Whichever option takes your fancy, when it comes to sniffing out top bargains, we pride ourselves on bringing you the best of the bunch, with wine offers to suit most palates and budgets.

With excellent savings on bottles from around the world, you’re spoilt for choice this month, as supermarkets and specialist retailers are dishing out the discounts.

These wine deals might not stick around for long, though, so now’s the time to discover a new quaffable favourite for less. Chin chin.

The best wine deals for July 2025 are:

  • Mt. Difficulty bannockburn pinot noir: Was £31, now £26, Waitrose.com
  • The Ned sauvignon blanc: Was £10.23, now £7.94, Asda.com
  • Studio by Miraval rosé, 2024: Was £12.75, now £10.75, Waitrose.com
  • Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference ellercombe English sparkling wine: Was £22, now £17, Sainsburys.co.uk
  • Taylor’s historical collection ‘the mallet’ reserve tawny port: Was £35, now £31, Majestic.co.uk

Mt. Difficulty bannockburn pinot noir: Was £31, now £26, Waitrose.com

(Fine Wine Direct)

In his review of the best red wines, our wine expert, Aidy Smith, found that this pinot noir’s tasting notes of strawberries, dark cherry and vanilla combine into a “seductive intensity” that “truly tastes just as good as it smells”. Now you can save around 15 per cent on the New Zealand pinot noir at Waitrose. If you need to stock up for summer barbecues, you’ll also get an extra five per off when you buy six bottles.

Iziza Exceptional Sites Swartland shiraz mourvedre grenache, 2023: Was £15.99, now £10.99, Virginwines.co.uk

(Virgin Wines)

Hailing from the Swartland region of South Africa, this full-bodied, vegan red wine is said to pair well with meaty dishes, such as pies, pizzas and roast lamb. Suitable for vegans too, it’s been described by the winemaker as boldly flavoured, with notes of berries and spice. You can save more than 30 per cent on a bottle with this Virgin Vines deal.

The Ned sauvignon blanc: Was £10.23, now £7.94, Asda.com

(Majestic)

Our best budget white wine is now even cheaper with this offer at Asda. Our wine expert, Aidy Smith, gave this sauvignon blanc his seal of approval in his review and praised “beautiful green strokes of gooseberry, kiwi, lime and lemongrass” with “aromas that jump out of the glass”. You won’t find it cheaper anywhere else.

Parcel Series marlborough sauvignon blanc 2023, New Zealand: Was £25, now £15, Majestic.co.uk

(Majestic)

Buy a case of six bottles of this New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and you’ll save £10 per bottle. The grapes are grown in vineyards, where the soils are said to afford the wine fresh aromas of white peach, lemon, apple and mango. Described as youthful with a refreshing acidity, it’s recommended paired with salads or grilled chicken, which we think should make it a great accompaniment to a light alfresco lunch.

Studio by Miraval rosé, 2024: Was £12.75, now £10.75, Waitrose.com

Celeb wines can be a mixed bag but this rosé from Brad Pitt’s Château Miraval was named our best rosé by wine expert Rosamund Hall. She called the wine “exceptional” after blind tasting it with other Provençal rosés and right now, it has a small reduction at Waitrose. It’s a modest saving, but you won’t find it much cheaper elsewhere.

Sainsbury’s ellercombe english sparkling wine: Was £22, now £17, Sainsburys.co.uk

(Sainsbury’s)

If a sparkling wine is more your thing, the Sainsbury Taste the Difference ellercombe English sparkling wine is currently discounted to £17 if you have a Nectar card. So, if you need to stock up for summer barbecues, it’s certainly worth signing up for one if you haven’t already. A blend of pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot meunier wines, expect fine bubbles and just a touch of elderflower. It’s also said to pair particularly well with fresh seafood.

Taylor’s historical collection ‘the mallet’ reserve tawny port: Was £35, now £31, Majestic.co.uk

(Taylor’s)

Attention, port fans. This deal on a bottle of tawny port saves you £4 per bottle when you buy six bottles of one of our favourites. In our tests of the best ports, drinks writer John Clarke noted “a bountiful amount of dried fruit and walnut flavours, along with notes of caramel and plum, and hints of coffee and spice”.

The Independent is committed to bringing its readers the very best offers. Our experienced team of deal hunters are experts when it comes to tracking down the best offers, with years of experience reporting on annual sales events. We look for the best deals from trusted companies to bring you great discounts year-round.
