Bayer Leverkusen are investigating a now-deleted video reportedly appearing to show their striker Victor Boniface speeding and using his mobile phone while driving just weeks after being involved in a horror 120mph crash.
Boniface previously survived a horror crash with a lorry while driving in Germany which resulted in him rushed to hospital on October 20 with serious injuries that required medical attention.
The Nigerian international was a passenger in his luxury Mercedes vehicle at the time while on the way to the airport and was fortunate to only sustain hand injuries as his car was left completely wrecked.
The serious collision caused damages worth up to £167,000 with local police revealing the driver lost control of the Mercedes due to tiredness, skidded into a truck, and was overturned by the collision.
Now, Leverkusen are looking into more driving concerns after a video published by Nigerian rapper Zoro Swagbag (750,000 followers) on Thursday appeared to show Boniface speeding and using his phone on multiple occasions, as reported by BILD.
The 50-second clip shows two passengers in Boniface’s car while the Leverkusen drives down the road with his phone in hand and singing along to one of Swagbag’s songs.

Boniface was reportedly driving his Mercedes-AMG car on the A4 and changes lanes while continuously scrolling through his phone and appearing to check Instagram multiple times.
A 120km/h speed limit sign can also be seen in the video, but Boniface’s speedometer appears to show him cruising at 141km/h with his phone in hand.
Leverkusen have issued an update on the video and confirmed they are now investigating the matter that could result in Boniface being hit with a fine and points on his licence.
The reigning Bundesliga champions stated: ‘We are looking at the matter and checking it. If the incident is confirmed, we will of course talk to Victor about it as soon as possible.
