A British Airways pilot has been arrested over accusations he secretly made sexual videos of a woman and then shared them without her consent.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed they arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of voyeurism when asked about reports that a BA pilot had been accused of filming sex sessions with up to 16 women without their consent, before sharing the footage online.
The Met said the arrest, on Thursday, came after a woman in her 20s alleged that videos had been taken of her and then distributed without her consent.
It added that the man has been released on bail as officers continue to investigate. The UK Civil Aviation Authority said it was also investigating reports of substance misuse.
The Sun reported that a group of women, aged between 24 and 36, made allegations about the pilot, with some reporting them to the Met.
According to the newspaper, a woman who claims she was targeted between 2023 and 2025 told a friend: “I was being recorded during sexual encounters without my consent.
“I didn’t realise until another woman in the same position mentioned it to me.”
A UK Civil Aviation Authority spokesperson told The Independent: “We can’t comment on individual cases, but reports of substance misuse are being reviewed, and any appropriate action will be taken.”
BA sources told The Sun that the pilot had been banned from flying until the police investigation was completed and that he was being provided with well-being support.
The Independent has approached BA for comment.
