Ever wonder what your favorite celebrities are reading — whether it’s a timeless classic or the buzzy bestseller they can’t put down? Welcome to Page-Turners, where stars reveal the books that keep them hooked, inspired and up all night. Warning: your TBR pile is about to get a lot longer.

“Twisted Love” author Ana Huang loves to read all kinds of books.

“I’m a romance author, but as a reader, I’ll pick up books in any genre as long as they sound interesting,” she told Page Six, adding, “Fantasy, sci-fi, thrillers, historical fiction—everything is game!”

Huang, whose new book “King of Gluttony” is on sale now, explained her non-negotiables in a book being added to her all-time favorites list are “great characters and an unputdownable quality that elevates a story.”

Huang’s new book is the sixth book in her Kings of Sin romance series.

See below for Huang’s must-read book recommendations.

Illustration of the book cover for "A Song to Drown Rivers," depicting a woman's silhouette against an orange moon and blue waves, with a pagoda at the bottom.

“A lush historical fantasy that had me reading (and crying) late into the night. I’ve always been fascinated by tales set in ancient China, and this retelling of the legend of Xishi, one of ancient China’s famous Four Beauties, is one of my favorites.”

Illustration of the book cover "Heart of Obsidian" by Nalini Singh, showing a lone figure in a long coat walking away into a brightly lit city skyline at night.

“This book solidified my love for morally gray heroes. The entire Psy-Changeling series is wonderful, but ‘Heart of Obsidian’ will always have a special place in my heart. The hero’s devotion to the heroine and his willingness to burn the world down for her? Chef’s kiss.”

Illustration of the book cover for "The Kiss Quotient," featuring a couple embracing and math equations in the background.

“This was one of my first forays back into contemporary romance after a years-long reading slump, and what a journey it was! Sweet, sexy, fun, heartwarming—it was everything I look for in a love story.”

Illustration of the book cover for Scythe, featuring a hooded figure in a red robe holding a black scythe.

“An excellent dystopian series set in a world ruled by a benevolent AI. Humanity has conquered death, but that means it has to enact population control via authorized ‘gleanings’ (killings). I had to purposely slow down my reading because I wanted to savor every page, and I’m stoked for the prequel releasing later this year!”

Illustration of the book cover for "Blood Over Bright Haven" by M.L. Wang, featuring a golden typewriter with red flames emerging from its roller, all against a black background with golden concentric arcs and red vertical lines.

“Dark academia and fantasy is an elite combo, and this one doesn’t disappoint. The world-building, character development, social commentary, and unique magic system makes it an addictive read. 10/10 recommend.”
