The Australian Open continues as Emma Raducanu booked a clash with second seed Iga Swiatek before Katie Boulter looks to also reach the third round.
Raducanu defeated Amanda Anisimova 6-3 7-5 to reach the third round for the first time but battled more injury problems during the victory.
The 22-year-old said she had to play through pain after appearing to struggle with her lower back, but the former US Open champion is hoping it’s just a “small niggle”.
Later, Boulter looks to join Raducanu and make it four British players into the last-32 of the tournament after wins for Jack Draper and Jacob Fearnley in the men’s yesterday.
Five-time grand slam winner Swiatek needed just one hour to cruise through, setting up a blockbuster match against Raducanu, who she is yet to drop a set against in three meetings.
Defending men’s champion Jannik Sinner is also in late action, as Brazilian teenager Joao Fonseca looks to back up his stunning opening win over ninth seed Andrey Rublev against Lorenzo Sonego.

Australian Open: Emma Raducanu issues update on back injury
Raducanu on her back injury after receiving treatment during the second-round win over Amanda Anisimova.
“I haven’t fully investigated it yet. I think it’s almost expected when you haven’t played a match in so long, and then you have two really physical ones.
“I think small niggles are going to come up here and there. I’m just that is just that.
“I was able to push past some pain today. I’m just going to try and recover as best as possible over the next day.”

Emma Raducanu battles more injury problems to reach Australian Open third round
Emma Raducanu will take on five-time grand slam champion Iga Swiatek after battling through more injury problems to beat Amanda Anisimova in the second round of the Australian Open.
The former US Open champion had her preparations for the tournament disrupted by a back spasm and she had treatment for what appeared to be a lower back issue during the second set.
There were five more double faults – a significant improvement on the 15 in her first-round win over Ekaterina Alexandrova – but that did not stop her reaching the last 32 for the first time here thanks to a 6-3 7-5 victory over big-hitting American Anisimova.
Now she will get a fourth crack at world number two Swiatek, who she is yet to win a set against.
