Aston Villa are weighing up a bid for Wolves’ Matheus Cunha after selling Jhon Duran to Al-Nassr.
Villa will bank £65million plus add-ons for Duran, who will complete his move on Friday, and want to utilise those funds to strengthen Unai Emery’s push for European qualification.
Villa can add three new players to their Champions League squad.
Cunha is valued around £70m and has two and half years left on his contract with Wolves.
The 25-year-old, who cost in the region of £40m when he moved to Molineux from former club Atletico Madrid, has scored 24 goals and provided 11 assists in his 71-game Premier League career to date.
Cunha is not the only player Villa are interested in. They are also continuing talks over Chelsea forward Joao Felix and PSG winger Marco Asensio.
