Theo Walcott believes Arsenal made West Ham look like mannequins during a thrilling first half at the London Stadium.
Mikel Arteta’s men headed into the break 5-2 up against the Hammers, with the Gunners having lead 4-0 at one point in the opening 45 minutes.
Gabriel, Leandro Trossard,Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka were the goalscorers for the visitors.
Analysing the third goal which came through Trossard’s close-range finish, Walcott didn’t hold back in his assessment of West Ham’s defending.
The former Arsenal forward said speaking on Sky Sports: ‘We’ve talked about the connection between Saka and Odegaard. Fantastic the fact he just recognises the space runs into Saka.
‘It’s a training ground goal, it’s like they were playing against mannequins at times. You can clearly see what they’re trying to do, linkup play.’

The Gunners led and went on to win 5-2 following an action-packed opening 45 minutes
‘Odegaard always wants to get involved. Not one West Ham player is looking at the ball, brilliant from Trossard.’
Aaron Wan-Bissaka pulled on back for West Ham to make it 4-1 in the 38th minute, to make it two goals in a week having also scored against newcastle on Monday.
Jamie Redknapp heaped praise on the right-back as he jokingly compared him to Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.
‘That’s a great ball, perfect timing, threads it through to Wan-BiSalah not Wan-Bissaka. He’s got two in two now, finishes that really well,’ Redknapp said.
