Arsenal fan caught on camera calling PSG supporters ‘Muslim terrorists’ in a string of racist and homophobic slurs

An Arsenal supporter was caught on camera launching a string of racist and homophobic slurs during the Gunners’ Champions League defeat by PSG on Wednesday.

Mikel Arteta’s side were beaten 2-1 at the Parc des Princes as they exited the tournament at the semi-final stage by virtue of a 3-1 aggregate loss.

However, one Arsenal fan is now at the centre of a storm following a video that has gone viral on social media.

In the clip – which appears to be filmed from the PSG end – a furious Gunners supporter is seen hurling abuse at a group of fans.

The individual, who was wearing a flat cap, can be heard to shout: ‘F***ing Muslim terrorists ****,’ as he angrily pointed his fingers.

‘Shut up you look like a f***ing f****t. F***ing F****t. F***ing F****t.’

The 34-second clip then became inaudible for a short while as both fans exchanged shouts.

However, the video ended with the fan continuing his rant as he added: ‘B***y boy, f***ing b***y boy.’

Just before the clip concluded, the Arsenal supporter tapped his chest. It is unclear at what point of the game the clash took place.

Mail Sport contacted the Gunners for comment on the matter and asked whether they would be investigating the incident.

The account that shared the video also attempted to add further insight into what had gone on.

They alleged: ‘I’m in contact with the victim. She’s going to file a complaint. The stewards apparently ignored her warnings. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need anything.’

The shocking racist and homophobic abuse wasn’t the only incident that marred what had been a fantastic Champions League semi-final tie, however.

As PSG fans celebrated reaching the final of the competition in the centre of Paris and around the ground, a car was set alight by a gang of youths after driving into a group of people.

The horrific aftermath was captured on video and plastered on social media in the early hours of Thursday.

Hooded French youths wearing Paris Saint Germain (PSG) shirts were reportedly also seen fighting with riot police on the Champs Elysée, and on nearby streets.

‘The worst incident so far involved a car apparently being driven into a group of PSG fans,’ said a local police source.

‘At least three supporters were injured, one seriously, and others were sent flying. A gang then chased the car, setting it on fire and leaving it to burn after they forced it to stop in a side street.’

One of them was seen being carried on a stretcher by first responders, according to French outlet Le Parisien.

After the car ploughed into crowds of people, dozens of football fans are said to have chased the vehicle.

It was not immediately clear who had been driving the high-end car, after all those inside were seen running away, said the source.

The flaming wreckage of the vehicle was filmed on the Rue Christophe-Colomb, close to the Champs-Elysée.

By 2am, more than 20 people had been arrested in connection with the ‘football celebrations’, said the source.

It is unclear whether the car’s occupants were arrested or why exactly the vehicle had crashed into the crowds.
