Support to help kick-start careers in film and television

Cinemagic has reopened applications for its Cinemagic Digital Film Academy 2025/26. The fully funded programme offers practical film and TV training, professional mentoring and recognised qualifications to people aged 18 and over across Northern Ireland.

The programme offers hands‑on training from concept to on‑set production, and accredited learning delivered in partnership with North West Regional College, South Eastern Regional College and Southern Regional College, supported by the Department for the Economy’s Skills Fund.

Participants will also get access to professional mentoring, workshops and masterclasses with industry guests, and a chance to participate in film shoots in Derry~Londonderry and Belfast.

Who should apply

Applications are open to anyone aged 18+ who is eligible to work in Northern Ireland and wants practical industry experience. You don’t need any prior experience.

The deadline for applications is Friday 12 December 2025.
