UK charities can now apply for two James Tudor Foundation health grants

Two grant programmes from the James Tudor Foundation are now open to applications from UK-registered healthcare charities. Both programmes offer grants of up to £25,000 and are designed to support work in mental health and physical health.

Charities applying should have an annual income below £20 million and at least five years of audited or independently examined accounts.

Funding for ACE Mental Health Projects

This programme provides grants for projects that support children and young people affected by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). It also supports work with parents who have experienced ACEs or who are dealing with mental illness or addiction.

The fund is open to UK-registered charities that work either regionally or nationally. Projects must be evidence based and trauma informed, with a clear aim to prevent or address the impact of ACEs.

Funding can be used for overall service delivery or for a clearly defined project.

Get more information and apply to the ACE Mental Health Support Grant.

Physical Health Funding

This programme supports UK charities working to improve physical health.

Eligible work includes

  • evidence based physical therapies for physical conditions, physical disabilities
  • specialist charities focused on a single medical condition
  • charities delivering direct healthcare to marginalised communities
  • air ambulance charities

Get more information and apply to the Physical Health Funding.

The deadline for applications to both programmes is Friday 6 February 2026.
