Angel Reese left her mom in tears after gifting her an extremely special birthday gift.
The Chicago Sky player invited her mother, Angel Webb Reese, onto her ‘Unapologetically Angel’ podcast this week.
And after presenting her with a cake, she revealed that she had paid off her mom’s mortgage in full.
‘Today your mortgage has been paid,’ Reese said to her stunned mom. ‘You ain’t gotta worry about your mortgage no more. And if you want to still work and keep yourself busy, you can keep yourself busy.’
Her mother became emotional and started crying before the pair shared a hug.
Angel then sang happy birthday to her mom as she continued to absorb the big news.

Furthermore, the former LSU star revealed that she planned to buy a house for herself in Chicago this year.
‘You can come stay with me whenever you want to,’ she said to her mom.
Reese’s thoughtful gift came after she previously complained about her WNBA salary not covering her $8,000-per-month rent.
‘Hating pays my bills, baby. I just hope you know the WNBA don’t pay my bills at all. I don’t even think that pays one of my bills,’ Reese said on Instagram. ‘Literally, I’m trying to think of my rent for where I stay at. I’m gonna do the math real quick. I don’t even know my salary.’
‘Yo, I’m living beyond my means! No, my rent is more than that. It’s $8,000. I’m living beyond my means.
Reese made $73,439 as a rookie for the Sky, though that is set to increase to $148,348 this year.
She also has endorsement deals with the likes of Reebok, Reese’s and Beats by Dre.
Furthermore, she is currently participating in the new Unrivaled league, which set minimum salaries for its players at six-figures.
Reese will begin her second season in the WNBA on May 17 against Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever.
