Angel Reese turned down multiple opportunities to speak to the author of Caitlin Clark’s biography, according to the author.

Clark has dominated the WNBA since being drafted last summer and now journalist Christine Brennan has penned a book celebrating the rise of the Indiana Fever star.

‘On Her Game: Caitlin Clark and the Revolution in Women’s Sports’ also highlighted the negatives that have come with her rapid rise.

Brennan opted to write about a specific incident last June when Chicago Sky star Chennedy Carter shoved Clark and sent her to the ground.

Reese, Carter’s teammate, was seen standing up and applauding the action from the Sky bench. It fueled narratives that there is tension between her and Clark.

Brennan had been hoping to get Reese’s perspective on the incident but, in chapter 10 of the biography, she revealed that the Sky star had refused.

‘Through a spokeswoman, Reese declined several requests to comment for this book,’ Brennan wrote.

At the time, Carter claimed that her shove on Clark, which drew huge criticism and attention, came after she was hit in the head moments earlier.

The Chicago Sky star also appeared to yell ‘you b***h’ at the former Iowa star before knocking her to the ground.

Reflecting further on the incident in the book, Brennan wrote: ‘Over in the Fever press conference, Clark showed up as usual and answered questions about the incident.

She then relayed the message from Clark at the press conference. The Fever star had said: ‘Yeah, I wasn’t expecting it.

‘But I think it’s just, like, just respond, calm down, let your play do the talking. It is what it is. It’s a physical game, go make the free throw and then execute on offense, and I feel like that’s what we did.’

Back in May, Clark and Reese’s rivalry reignited with the duo were involved in a heated on-court clash.

Tempers flared between the two women’s basketball superstars when Reese took exception to Clark’s hard foul with 4:38 left in the third quarter as the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky got their 2025 campaigns up and running.

After Reese grabbed an offensive rebound, Clark slapped the Sky forward across the arm, knocking the ball away and her arch-nemesis to the floor.

Angel, who was visibly furious, quickly jumped up and confronted Caitlin as Fever center Aliyah Boston jumped in between the two players.

Following a replay review, the referees upgraded the foul to a flagrant one and called double technical fouls on Boston and Reese. It was Clark’s third personal foul.
