Weapons star Amy Madigan gave a very down-to-earth response when asked if she had prepared a speech in advance of her best supporting actress Oscar win.
“I was in the shower last night and I thought, ‘well, this must be a special day ’cause I’m shaving my legs’,” she said during an appearance in the Academy Awards media room. “I wanted to thank a few people in particular, my family, but that was kind of about it.”
Madigan then quizzed the organizers how they decide who would ask questions, provoking more laughter from the assembled journalists.
