Alison Hammond said that it felt “shameful” after coming in last place in a 10km race.
Speaking about the running event on Friday’s (3 July) episode of This Morning, the presenter said the feat was “one of the biggest achievements of my life”.
Hammond, who has been open about her weight loss journey, completed the race prior to losing weight. “It wasn’t a marathon but it was a marathon to me.”
She said that she could see an ambulance driving behind her, as someone informed her that she was the last person to cross the line.
“And I said, ‘I know, but at least I did it, babes’,” she laughed.
