A retail park’s car park has been closed off to members of the public after a 19-year-old man was stabbed, police have said.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said they were called to Alexandra Retail Park in Oldham at about 15:25 BST.
The car park has been closed to the public, with people advised to avoid the area.
Police said the victim was seriously injured and had been taken to hospital.
Insp Andrew Clayton of GMP said: “We understand this incident is shocking and took place in a very public space.
“There have been no arrests so far, but enquiries, such as CCTV trawls, are ongoing to determine who is responsible. At this stage, we do believe the attack to be an isolated incident involving those known to one another.”
He urged anyone who believed they had information or dashcam footage to contact GMP.
