Alejandro Garnacho’s brother has taken on a Man United fan on social media after the Chelsea star was unable to make an impact for his new club in their defeat at Old Trafford.

Garnacho, 21, left United under a dark cloud during the summer window having found himself exiled from the first team squad after falling out of favour under manager Ruben Amorim.

Chelsea offered the Argentine an Old Trafford escape and paid the Red Devils £40million for the attacker’s services.

Saturday saw Garnacho return to his former club with Chelsea looking to secure their first win over United in the North West since 2013.

However, Blues boss Enzo Maresca opted against involving Garnacho – who remained on the bench throughout the pulsating contest – as United ran out 2-1 winners.

Garnacho was hit by X-rated boos from the United masses while warming up on the touchline and that ill-will has extended to social media – with a fan sharing a screenshot of her interaction with the footballer’s controversy-hit brother, Roberto.

Garnacho’s younger sibling shared a photo of himself with the Chelsea star on a private jet, to which United fan @tmaziee replied: ‘September 20th? Yeah hold that you f***ing freaks’.

September 20 was the date of Chelsea’s loss to United.

Roberto replied saying: ‘You weigh 150kg, go to the f***ing gym instead of wasting your time texting me.’

Roberto has courted controversy during Garnacho’s stint at Old Trafford, and was previously accused of leaking team news to the media. He has denied that claim.

He again found himself in hot water following United’s Europa League final defeat to Spurs.

Garnacho had started every knockout stage match in the club’s run in the competition including both legs of their semi-final triumph over Athletic Bilbao.

However, the Argentine was left on the bench for the final in May, before being introduced in the closing stages with United searching for an equaliser.

After United were beaten 1-0 Roberto later took to social media to accuse Amorim of ‘throwing him under the bus’ in Bilbao.

‘Working as no one else, Helping every round, coming from 2 goals last 2 finals,’ he wrote on Instagram at the time.

‘Just to be on the pitch 19 mins and get thrown under the bus. [Wow] hajjahhahaha.’

‘Obviously it’s hard for everyone,’ said Garnacho at the San Mames. ‘Our season was s***. We didn’t beat anyone in the league. We lacked a lot of things. When you don’t score goals, you always need more.

‘Until we reached the final, I played every round. And I played 20 minutes today – I don’t know. I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens next.’
