From European city breaks to sun-soaked beach getaways, online travel agency Agoda has a long list of holiday destinations for you to browse. To help keep down the cost of your next holiday, The Independent’s expert deal hunters have been working hard to source the very best offers and discounts at Agoda to use on your next booking.

10 per cent first booking discount

Agoda is offering 10 per cent off your first trip when you book via its dedicated app, making it even easier to bag a last-minute deal on hotels, resorts and holiday rentals worldwide. Simply download the app and create an account to get your instant discount.

These are the best ways to save on your next holiday with Agoda (Agoda/Elizabeth Camp)

Agoda members save up to 25 per cent

To access the best deals throughout the year, you may want to sign up to Agoda’s VIP loyalty programme. This is free to join – all you need to do is make two or more bookings in two years and you’ll automatically qualify for the programme. After that, the idea is simple: the more bookings you make, the higher your status will rise and the higher the discounts you’ll unlock.

Memberships are divided into four tiers, each with its own perks. Here’s what to expect:

  • Member: Entry-level status doesn’t give you any additional discounts, but you will gain access to AgodaCash, which you can use to get money off future bookings.
  • VIP Silver: Once you’ve made two bookings, you’ll find discounts of up to 12 per cent on selected listings in your account.
  • VIP Gold: If you make five bookings within 24 months, you’ll be upgraded to VIP Gold status and enjoy 18 per cent off selected destinations.
  • VIP Platinum: After 10 bookings, you’ll enter VIP Platinum status, where you’ll be given up to 25 per cent off hotels and accommodation around the world.

Up to 30 per cent off with Agoda’s international deals

Agoda’s international hotel sale is offering savings of up to 30 per cent. Whether you’re planning a city escape, beach retreat or cultural adventure, these limited-time rates aren’t to be missed.

Up to 15 per cent off resort and hotel bookings

Currently, you’ll find special rates at a premium range of hotels and resorts worldwide – perfect for those who want to try somewhere new. Turkey, Italy and Spain are among some of the most popular destinations in this deal, with up to 15 per cent off boutique hotels and big-chain names, including the Royal Court Hotel in Rome.

The summer season may be over, but that doesn’t mean the adventures have to stop. From shoulder-season getaways in southern Europe to winter ski trips in the mountains, Agoda often offers seasonal discounts and flash sales to keep you saving throughout the year. Expect savings of up to 30 per cent on select hotels and destinations during the colder months.

Booking in advance and checking the “Today’s Deals” section can help you unlock even better rates. For exclusive codes, sign up for Agoda’s newsletter or enable app notifications to stay updated on limited-time offers.

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer for the best time to book a holiday with any provider, but, like many others, Agoda promotes fantastic deals around sale events such as Black Friday and the January sales. You don’t need to wait until then to book your holiday, though – there are often excellent discounts on holidays with Agoda, and, if you keep checking back, you’ll soon find something inspiring.

At The Independent, our top team of deal hunters has years of experience of bringing our readers the best offers and discounts. No matter whether we’re covering the best international holidays and staycations or bringing you the latest on beauty sales and tried-and-tested household goods, our team is always looking out for the best ways to save you money on the products and experiences worth buying.
