Wales captain Aaron Ramsey is pleading for help finding his missing dog in Mexico.

The former Arsenal midfielder revealed that his family pooch, Halo, has gone missing in the city of San Miguel de Allende.

Ramsey, 34, is out in Mexico playing for Pumas UNAM, for whom he signed in July.

The star has offered a ‘big reward’ for information from anybody who can help reunite him with Halo.

‘Please help us find Halo, he was lost in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, in the vicinity of Hipsterrier which is a dog shelter,’ he wrote on Instagram.

‘A reward is being offered. Any information is valuable. HELP US GET HIM BACK TO HIS FAMILY.’

His wife, Coleen, also posted asking for for help.

Halo is part of a family which also includes Ramsey’s sons – standalone boy Sonny and twins Tomas and Teddy.

Pumas have made a fairly average start to the season, sitting 10th out of 18 in the opening part of the campaign, the Torneo Apertura.

Signing in July, Ramsey said: ‘I’ve played with some players who understand the Mexican league and had conversations in the past with them. This league is very technical, great players have been produced, the national team is very good.

‘I’ve had pressure throughout my career, played for some of the best teams in the world and there’s an expectation to win and I’m sure here is no different.

‘I’m really excited by the challenge.

‘I’ve experienced a lot of things in my career and that puts me in a good place going forward.

‘I realise the expectation on this club and I’m here to play my part and help deliver the things we want to this season

‘I’ve spent a period of time in my career without winning things but managed to overcome that and win, so I know what this club is capable of doing and hopefully I can play my part to be successful and lift some silverware.

‘The altitude is definitely something to get used to!

‘I’m doing well at the moment. Now it’s about taking the next steps and hopefully I’ll be on that pitch as soon as possible helping my team-mates.’
