It was important for us to be able to personalise our wedding styling in the reception barn. We wanted long, rustic tables, locally grown flowers, and candles… everywhere! Natural and seasonal elements were at the heart of the styling – the barn boasts uninterrupted views, with a sense of being surrounded by nature even when indoors. So, choosing locally grown flowers was the best decision we made, and the colourful candles made a lovely addition to the tables.

We really wanted our flowers to reflect the season and feel as natural as possible. We were drawn to autumn’s rich, warm tones, so we worked with the most talented grower florist, Garden Gate Flower Company, and Becca to choose blooms like vintage-toned zinnias and soft dahlias. Garden roses added scent and romance, while snowberries brought a lovely texture. It was important to us to use locally grown, seasonal flowers—nothing flown in—which meant everything felt fresh, wild, and full of life. The arrangements looked like they’d come straight from the garden, and they brought such a beautiful, grounded energy to the day. We are so grateful to Becca; she was amazing, and the result was stunning.
