It’s that time of the year again – the transfer window is now open until September 1 and it’s sure to be a busy period with clubs looking to make big signings ahead of next season.
Here are today’s latest developments from Simon Jones and the Daily Mail Sport team…
Gunners eye ambitious Vini swoop
Arsenal have made initial enquiries over the availability of Real Madrid winger Vini Jr.
With Jose Mourinho’s side exploring the purchase of Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig, the Premier League champions have checked on the Brazilian’s status as speculation grows over where his future lies.
The 26-year-old has the same representatives as Diomande, who was also on Arsenal’s radar, and there has been interest from Saudi Arabi over the past 12 months.
The deal would represent a sensational coup for Arsenal if they were successful but the clubs are still to open official talks.
Forest table fresh bid for Feyenoord star
Nottingham Forest have submitted an improved £17.5million bid for Feyenoord right-back Givairo Read.
Daily Mail Sport reported last month how Forest had targeted the highly-rated 20-year-old defender who has also been in Manchester City’s radar.
Forest are working on a £35m deal for Sporting Lisbon centre-back Ousmane Diomande and are also weighing a move for Everton striker Beto.
They are expected to place a new £45m bid for Tottenham’s Lucas Bergvall.

Celtic on brink of club record move
Celtic are closing on a club record £11million deal for Bodo/Glimt striker Kasper Hogh.
The Denmark international is due to arrive tonight for a medical ahead of agreeing a four-year contract, with Celtic having the option to extend by a further year.
Hogh was a target for Norwich City in January and had an impressive Champions League campaign.
Hammers reject Diouf approach
West Ham have rebuffed an enquiry from Brentford for left wing-back El Hadji Malick Diouf.
The 20-year-old had an indifferent first season at West Ham but they insist he is not for sale after selling Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville.

Tigers set for Tzolakis signing
Hull City expect to wrap up the signing of Olympiacos goalkeeper Konstantin Tzolakis following his medical today.
The 23-year-old Greece international had one year left on his deal and had plenty of interest. He will link up with his new teammates at their camp in Slovenia once paperwork is completed.
Tzolakis had been with his club Olympiacos in the Netherlands, but was given permission to leave their pre-season training camp and return to Athens on Friday where his medical taking place.
Burnley have confirmed Hull’s interest in midfielder Florentino Luis as they discuss a £15m deal.
Palace in defender dilemma
Crystal Palace are yet to decide whether to progress with a move for Brest defender Raphael Le Guen.
Personal terms would not be an issue, and the teenager has held talks with Palace in London. But a move remains uncertain at this stage.
The 19-year-old broke into the Brest first team towards the end of last season, but has only made six appearances in Ligue 1.
Palace are also assessing several ready-made replacements for Maxence Lacroix, who is set to join Chelsea.
