Three men have been arrested on suspicion of drugs-related offences following the death of a 25-year-old man in Powys.
Police said he died despite the efforts of paramedics called to a campsite near to the Royal Welsh showground at Llanelwedd, Builth Wells, on Saturday night.
Temporary Chief Supt Steve Davies said it was a “tragic incident, and our thoughts remain with the young man’s family at this difficult time”.
Wales’ biggest annual agricultural festival, the Royal Welsh Show, is due to get under way on Monday.
“I would like to reassure the public that this is an isolated incident and the death is currently being treated as unexplained,” said Davies.
“There is no evidence of any ongoing risk to the wider public in connection with this sad incident.”
Following the death, three men were arrested on suspicion of drug-related offences and remain in custody.
