Hudson Williams confronted a group of autograph seekers after they allegedly followed him to his temporary residence in Paris, telling them they were “being really creepy” and insisting they leave him alone.

The confrontation, which was captured in a video that circulated widely on social media on Monday, appeared to show the 25-year-old Canadian actor challenging three men who approached him with photographs and markers after he stepped out of a vehicle.

The location was Williams’s temporary apartment while he was staying in the French capital, according to Variety.

The Heated Rivalry star was in Paris for Haute Couture Fashion Week, where he attended Balenciaga’s autumn/winter 2026 couture show last week as a guest of the fashion house.

“Guys, you just followed me to my residence,” Williams is heard saying.

One of the men apologises for following him, but Williams rejects it, saying: “No, no ‘sorry.’ You can’t do this. This is really f****** weird. You can’t f****** do this.”

“You guys aren’t fans. You’re being really creepy and you just followed me, ok? You don’t do this. You don’t do this.”

The video shows Williams taking a stack of photographs from one of the men before unsuccessfully attempting to set them alight with a lighter.

When the photographs fail to catch fire, Williams says: “I’m gonna burn this at home. Now please f****** leave, you’re being f****** demented.”

He then adds: “I want to watch you. Hop on your little bike.”

As Williams walks away with his companions, he can be seen tearing the photographs and throwing them into the street.

Williams was accompanied by his girlfriend, Katlyn Larson, and two members of his team, reported E! News.

The Independent has reached out to Williams’s representatives for comment.

Williams rose to prominence in 2025 after starring opposite Connor Storrie in Heated Rivalry, the TV adaptation of Rachel Reid’s bestselling queer sports romance novel of the same name.

Williams plays professional ice hockey player Shane Hollander, while Storrie portrays his long-time rival and secret lover Ilya Rozanov.

The series became a breakout hit and quickly developed a substantial international fanbase, with a second season due to begin filming in Toronto next month.

Co-star Storrie was also in Paris three weeks ago ahead of the Saint Laurent men’s summer 2027 show during Paris Fashion Week, where a large crowd of fans gathered outside his hotel to catch a glimpse of the actor and request autographs.

In January, Williams appeared on Evan Ross Katz’s Shut Up Evan podcast, and talked about how the sudden rise in popularity didn’t “feel like anything you could prepare” for.

“When you see The Beatles, when you see BTS, there’s an element of ‘that’s not another human, that’s a celebrity’, which exists in this weird definition that is very abstract. I thought I could empathise with it, but I couldn’t fully feel what they were going through until now. Now it’s just brought this wave of sympathy because it’s not easy,” he said.

Writing for The Independent after Heated Rivalry’s UK release, Adam White accused the more obsessive among the show’s fans of sucking the fun out of it.

“Heated Rivalry has become exhausting to talk about and think about, primarily because such a loud bulk of its fandom – an army of digital natives that seems to cross gender, age and sexuality – have come to treat the show as practically sacrosanct,” he wrote.

“Dissenting critics have been aggressively piled-on across social media, while screaming devotion to the show’s two stars seems poised on a cliff edge, as Storrie and Williams’s opinions, personal lives and digital footprints are inspected with a fine tooth comb for anything remotely spiky or clumsily worded.”
