A woman’s death in a fire at a farm in Greater Manchester is no longer being treated as a murder investigation, police have said.
A man was arrested on suspicion of killing the 38-year-old, whose body was found inside stables at Higher Tunshill Farm in Milnrow, Rochdale, on 3 July.
But in an update issued on Monday, Greater Manchester Police said detectives now believe there was no “third-party involvement” in her death.
The arrested man, aged in his 40s, was released with no further action.
“The circumstances surrounding the death will now be referred to the coroner and an inquest will take place in due course,” the force said.
