A Florida bomb squad has demonstrated the power of fireworks as Americans gear up for Fourth of July celebrations.
Fort Lauderdale Public Safety officials have urged people to take caution amongst the festivities, as they showed the dangers of what can happen when fireworks are mishandled.
Officials from Fort Lauderdale Police, Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue and Broward Health Medical Center have collaborated on an informative video, which shows a watermelon, a cantaloupe and a mannequin human hand all being destroyed by fireworks.
