Businesses across Shropshire are being encouraged to reconnect, share ideas and grow their networks as the Shropshire Growth Hub, in partnership with InSynch, relaunches its popular networking club with a fresh identity.
Now rebranded as Coffee + Connect, the updated offer brings renewed energy to the format. It also introduces a new venue at Shropshire Wildlife Trust in Shrewsbury, providing more space for attendees alongside an enhanced programme focused on building meaningful business connections.
Ruth Westwood, Manager of the Shropshire Growth Hub, said:
“We’re excited to welcome even more businesses from across the county to Coffee + Connect. The larger venue allows us to bring more people together, while the refreshed format creates more opportunities to share experiences and start worthwhile conversations
“Whether someone is just starting out or already well established, this offers a friendly and supportive space to build valuable connections.”
Each monthly session combines guided and informal networking, ensuring a balance of structure and flexibility. Attendees can introduce themselves and their business and take part in relaxed discussions over refreshments. As a result, businesses can build relationships in an approachable and productive setting.
Kim Parkin from Last Drop Coffee, who has attended the networking club on several occasions, shared her experience:
“The sessions create a relaxed environment where you can meet people, exchange ideas and gain practical insights that genuinely help your business. I’ve made some great connections from the events, people that I wouldn’t have met otherwise, and it has boosted my business immeasurably.”
During the sessions there will also be opportunities to be a guest speaker, giving businesses another platform to share expertise, stimulate discussions and raise their profile within the local business community.
The programme is delivered in partnership with Shropshire Wildlife Trust and InSynch. Together, they reflect the Growth Hub’s ongoing commitment to supporting businesses at every stage, while creating accessible and inclusive opportunities to connect.
Mel Edwards from InSynch, who helps to organise and run the popular networking event, said:
“There is nothing better than bringing the business community together. This event is all about opening doors, exchanging fresh perspectives and ideas and fostering meaningful collaboration with the fantastic local network we have right here on our doorstep.”
Councillor Alex Wagner, Deputy Leader of Shropshire Council and Cabinet member for transformation and economic growth, said:
“Coffee + Connect gives businesses a valuable opportunity to step away from daily pressures, stay informed about what’s happening locally and feel part of a wider support network.
“ Importantly, events like this help business owners build confidence, identify opportunities and take away practical ideas they can apply. It’s another positive way we continue to support Shropshire businesses to remain visible, connected and resilient.”
