Rugby league Immortal Wally Lewis has sent a loving message to his second wife Lynda Adams as a report claims he will likely never reunite with his children due to the rift his new love created.

Lewis took to Instagram on the weekend to wish his wife a happy 59th birthday, posting the touching message: ‘Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife Lynda…just one year away from joining me in the 60’s club. I look forward to celebrating many more with you and perhaps it might be time for us to invest in some walking sticks soon!’

The post wasn’t welcome news to the 66-year-old’s adult children Mitch, 40, Lincoln, 38, and Jamie-Lee, 36.

When Lewis married Lynda last year, his three kids were a no-show at the ceremony due to their loyalty to his first wife, their mother Jacqueline.

Lewis reportedly proposed to Lynda in late 2024, three years after he split from Jacqueline after 36 years of marriage.

A family insider told Woman’s Day that Lewis and his kids are ‘zero chance’ of reconciling.

‘As the gap widens and the silence deepens, because Mitch, Lincoln, and Jamie-Lee are so close, they actually support one another when it comes to their feelings about their dad,’ the insider said.

The man nicknamed ‘The Emperor of Lang Park’ confirmed his separation from his ex-wife and the mother of his three children in February 2021.

‘This is a deeply personal matter that we do not want to discuss publicly,’ he said.

‘I want to acknowledge the pain and upset my family has gone through since Jacqui and I separated last year. I hope over time we can rebuild our ties and move on with life.’

Shortly after, he confirmed his relationship with Lynda.

‘There’s so much that went down in that family. The kids will never get past what their father did to their mother. She is the family rock, and they see having their father back in their lives as the ultimate betrayal of their mum,’ the source told Woman’s Day.

‘It may sound cruel, but they actually don’t need their father in their lives. And they most certainly don’t need his new wife.’

Jamie-Lee recently posted a touching tribute to Jackie on Mother’s Day, saying: ‘You are the definition of strength, resilience and unconditional love. Watching you go through everything with so much courage, positivity, love and determination inspires me every single day. My love for you will never end.’

The source claimed that the children were much happier without Lewis in their lives.

Despite the controversy within the family, Aussies online loved the Instagram tribute by Lewis to Lynda.

‘Happiest of birthdays to one of my absolute faves,’ one person wrote.

‘Beautiful, two people in love,’ another said.

‘I remember watching you two at the James Taylor concert and you could see the love right there,’ a third said.

Earlier this year Lewis praised Lynda for her ‘patience’ as he deals with health issues including epilepsy and the debilitating brain disorder chronic traumatic encephalopathy.

‘My partner Lynda has been fantastic through it, and has been very patient,’ he told the Howie Games podcast.
