Specialist search teams are looking for a boy who got into difficulty in a river in a country park.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the boy was last seen just before 17:00 BST on Saturday in the River Irwell at Clifton Country Park in Salford.
A force spokesperson said officers were called to reports of a boy “getting into difficulty”.
They added: “Emergency services and specialist search teams remain at the scene. The incident is ongoing.”
No further details about the boy have been released.
