While NBA Draft prospect Cameron Boozer was one of the biggest names announced on draft night, it was his mother that stole the show in the eyes of the social media audience.
Boozer was selected third overall in this year’s draft by the Memphis Grizzlies.
The forward was a star at Duke this past season – winning the award for National College Player of the Year and being named a consensus All-American.
When he sat down with ESPN for an interview after the selection was made, he was joined by his older brother Carmani, twin brother and ex-Duke teammate Cayden, father and former NBA veteran Carlos Boozer and his mother, CeCe.
While Cameron was picked and Carlos has NBA pedigree, it was CeCe – whose real name is Cindy – that stunned the crowd in a black dress.

Boozer said draft night was ‘our moment as a family’ while reflecting on his mom’s sacrifices
‘These booser [sic] boys momma is a dime piece,’ wrote one user on X.
Another said, ‘Omg sheeeeesh boozers momma is sexy.’
‘now that im 25 i finally understand hot moms,’ a different reply read.
CeCe spoke with ESPN’s Lisa Salters during an on-camera interview after her son was picked.
‘I think it’s really just faith over fear,’ she said of her son’s basketball journey so far.
‘So we battle that adversity as a family and now we get to celebrate as a family and be here to watch Cameron. I just couldn’t be more proud.’
Cameron also shared how important family was to him, revealing his mother would drive him to practices and tournaments in his grade school days.
‘I don’t even know how to describe it honestly, man. … It’s my moment, but it’s our moment as a family,’ he said.
