Sir David Beckham and his wife Victoria marked Father’s Day by sharing heartfelt tributes to the former England footballer, though their eldest son, Brooklyn, notably remained silent amidst an ongoing family dispute.
Both Sir David, 51, and Lady Beckham, 52, posted a series of photographs on Instagram featuring Sir David with his children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and daughter Harper. The collection included images of the family standing in the sea and snapshots from various stages of their children’s lives.
Sir David’s post read: “Being a dad is my most important job, I love you all & thank you mummy @victoriabeckham For giving me our beautiful family. Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads around the world.”
Lady Beckham, the former Spice Girl, accompanied her message with a picture of Sir David smiling with a glass of wine, writing: “David you truly are the best daddy. Your greatest achievement has always been our beautiful children and we love you so much. Happy Father’s Day.”
Cruz also extended Father’s Day wishes on Instagram, sharing a picture of himself and Sir David holding fish, while Romeo posted two throwback images of his younger self with his father.
However, Brooklyn, 27, did not post a Father’s Day message. His silence comes amid a public feud with his parents, which began in January when he made “explosive claims” that they had been “trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.” He also alleged that his wife, Nicola Peltz, had been “disrespected” by his family.
Since these statements, Brooklyn has not made a public appearance with his parents nor acknowledged them on social media. He previously claimed Sir David and Lady Beckham manipulate press narratives about their family, prioritising “Brand Beckham.”
Lady Beckham addressed the dispute for the first time in a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, stating that she and Sir David “love our children so much” and have “always tried to be the best parents.”
Brooklyn, an amateur photographer, recently alluded to the feud in a World Cup-themed advertisement for the US food delivery service DoorDash.
In the ad, he says: “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the Fifa World Cup 2026 from home. It’s not like I don’t have tickets. Um… it’s because… it’s a long story.” He then hands over tickets to a delivery driver, saying: “These can go to someone… else,” adding, “put them somewhere fun.” Brooklyn later told followers on Instagram to check the delivery service’s account for clues about the tickets’ whereabouts.
Brooklyn married Nicola Peltz, daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz, in 2022.
