New York Knicks captain Jalen Brunson had not posted anything on X since early March but shocked followers to break that streak for an important request on Monday morning.

‘Somebody take Mikal’s phone,’ the newly crowned NBA champion wrote of his long-time friend and teammate.

Over on Instagram Live, Brunson’s Knicks teammate and fellow Villanova Wildcat had been drunkenly streaming his thoughts on New York’s championship run, which ended with Saturday’s Game 5 win in San Antonio.

The hours that followed appeared to have been some good ones for Bridges, who was apparently hungover with his teammates on Sunday’s morning shows. The party may have continued into Monday morning, as seen on Bridges’ Instagram page.

While dubbing Brunson the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time), Bridges began bleating to the camera before calling on the city to build a statue for the 6ft 2in point guard.

‘Build him a statue,’ Bridges told followers. ‘Build that little big-headed ass n**** a statue.’

More than a day after the Knicks’ Game 5 win over the Spurs, Bridges was still going hard

Bridges also credited Knicks teammate and former Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan for coming off the bench for some key defensive plays against San Antonio sensation Victor Wembanyama.

‘I call that n***** “So-chan,”‘ or “So-Han” or whatever,’ Bridges said, struggling with the Oklahoma native’s Polish surname.

Bridges ultimately settled on his teammate’s first name: ‘Jeremy.’

The 29-year-old Bridges likely knew the livestream was a mistake. At 11am, Bridges referred to the time and asked ‘what the f*** am I doing?’ before taking another shot.

He also confirmed SNY’s report that Knicks owner James Dolan asked players to remain abstinent ahead of their 10-week postseason run.

‘He brought n***** in and say 10 weeks, don’t have no sex, lock in. N***** a savage,’ Bridges said, before asking Dolan to relocate the team headquarters from Westchester to Manhattan.

‘He could be a bigger savage if he built a practice facility in the city, but he’s still a savage,’ Bridges added.

And in perhaps his most controversial comment of the live stream, Bridges praised Coldplay’s music: ‘”Lost” by Coldplay, come on, bro. You can’t tell me that s*** not a banger.’

Bridges did get on the floor to sing to his dog at one point, which certainly ingratiated him to his followers.

Throughout the live stream, Bridges is seen drinking what appears to be whiskey, while commenting on the Knicks’ title run, at one point referring to Wembanyama as the ‘f***ing French prince.’

And he wasn’t the only Knicks player to take a shot at Wembanyama in the days since Game 5. Viral video has since surfaced showing Brunson going along with a ‘f*** Wemby’ champagne toast.

Brunson and Bridges won a pair of titles together at Villanova, the first of which came with another current Knicks star, Josh Hart. All three are expected to appear with their other Knicks teammates on NBC’s Tonight Show on Monday.

The team’s first ever championship parade is scheduled for Thursday. The Knicks did not get a parade after winning their first two titles in 1970 and 1973.
