Owain Rhys Davies, famous for his roles in “Twin Peaks: The Return” and “The OA,” has died. He was 44.

The Welsh actor’s brother revealed the “devastating” news in a lengthy Instagram post Sunday, writing, “It is with profound sadness that my father and I share the news that my brother, Owain, has passed away.”

Rhodri Davies explained that the news is shocking as “there are still questions that remain unanswered regarding the circumstances of his death.” However, the family understands that “Owain passed suddenly, naturally, and peacefully.”

The actor’s sibling went on to praise Owain’s “love, friendship, and generosity,” adding that “the outpouring of messages we have received over the past few days has been deeply moving and a testament to the impact he had on so many lives.”

He added, “Owain was fortunate enough to have more than one family. Alongside his biological one, he built extraordinary, family-like bonds with many of his closest friends, colleagues, and loved ones.

“I am incredibly proud that, while he was my brother, he was also a brother to so many others. We know that this loss will be felt by a great many people, and we take comfort in knowing how loved he was.”

Rhodri promised to share more information about his brother’s passing and funeral arrangements in due time before asking for privacy to “come to terms with this devastating loss.”

He also worked in Disney’s “Alice Through The Looking Glass,” “The Indian Doctor,” “My Dead Ex,” “A Serial Killer’s Guide to Life” and many more.

Owain also found great success working in London’s West End, with roles in “Mamma Mia!,” “The Wizard of Oz,” “By Jeeves” and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” at London’s The Royal National Theatre.
