The long-anticipated Marc Jacobs Beauty drop is finally here, heralding the comeback of a beloved makeup line that vanished in 2021.

Anecdotally, many editors have held on to their beloved bronzers and lipsticks from the late iteration — despite reasonably questioning how hygienic that is. At long last, they can safely replace their years-old beauty stash with what promises to be one of the buzziest beauty drops of the year.

“I think about beauty the way I think about fashion: it’s an area for creativity and self-expression,” the iconic designer shared via a press release, adding that the new line “represents joy, and is a celebration of how we can use makeup to express ourselves.”

Marc Jacobs Beauty

Designed by Jacobs, the packaging includes a daisy for complexion, a star for eyes and a heart for lips — and our editors are agog at the whimsy of it all, especially the adorable heart balloon shape on the tip of the lipsticks.

Beyond its chic exterior, the hydrating, high-shine lipstick promises long wear and comes in 15 shades for any taste — from bright, statement-making hues to a full range of gorgeous browns, pinks and mauves.

However, don’t think it’s a redux of what is currently on the market; Jacobs adds that these are “created with genuine passion, curiosity, and open-mindedness” and “twist and turn the familiar into something new and unexpected.”

The brand’s bronzer, for instance, is finely milled, offers 10-hour wear and, according to one review, delivers “a beautiful, natural-looking warmth that enhanced my complexion without appearing orange, muddy, or overly shimmery.”

Per the release, it combines “unexpected textures, skincare-infused formulations and a tactile ease that keeps things playful,” while promising sky-high pigment that’s meant to last through office-AC chill and hot subway rides alike. (Because honestly, it wouldn’t be Marc Jacobs if it wasn’t New York City-proof.)

For rosy cheeks, there’s also Joystick — an effortless, creamy blush that’s skin care-infused and comes in 10 shades.

While every fan can’t help but mention their love of the packaging, one devotee among the near-perfect reviews adds, “perfect texture, perfect color.”

Another effortless-glam must-have is the Born Star Eyeshadow, which comes in several sultry matte-finish shades with names like “Delete That” and “Act Natural.”

There are metallic finish options as well, but many are not in stock yet. (Likewise, the line will be for sale soon on the Marc Jacobs website; however, it’s not yet available there either.)

Among the five-star reviews, one reads, it’s “an amazing eyeshadow!! It stays on forever, and the shade is so beautiful and noticeable.”

And, of course, the Waterproof Gel Eyeliner is a natural match for the eyeshadows (or can be worn on its own). A fan already dubbed it “perfection.”

Promising 24-hour wear, the highly pigmented formula also comes in metallic or matte options, in 21 delightful hues.

Perhaps you’ll want to seal your look with Jacobs’ new peptide-infused, long-wear mascara, which is designed to lengthen and volumize lashes. (Early fans love that it’s clump-free and has a high pigment load.)

Last but not least, the Money Shot Gel Highlighter looks somewhat intimidating in the pan, however it turns into the perfect accent for lips or eyes — or cheeks if you like it bold.

Despite the editorial styling, using the non-sticky Gel Highlighter sparingly offers new dimension to even more natural makeup looks — in the most unexpected-yet-flattering way.

Aside from this initial drop, the brand promises more great things are on the way later this year. Shop while you can — given the frenzy surrounding the launch, the sell-out risk is quite likely.
