Hot weather might be welcome in the day during the Bank Holiday weekend, but rising temperatures can become far less appealing when it’s time to sleep at night.

Temperatures are predicted to climb throughout the weekend, as forecasters said the “exceptional heat” may break records for the warmest day in May and the hottest bank holiday.

Saturday (23 May) saw the hottest day of the year so far in the UK when the village of Frittenden, in Kent, hit 30.5C.

These five tips could help to improve sleep during periods of hot weather.
