After his poor performance in the PGA Championship saw him miss the cut at Aronimink, Bryson DeChambeau has gone viral for publicly casting doubt on the validity of the moon landing.
DeChambeau fired a first round six-over 76 and followed that up with a one-over 71 to miss the cut in his second-straight major championship.
But rather than go viral for his performance, ‘The Scientist’ shared his belief that the footage of the Apollo 11 moon landing is fake.
‘Look, Elon [Musk] says we’ve definitely gone there. So I tend to go that route, because he’s the man that knows quite a bit about all that,’ DeChambeau said in an appearance on the ‘Katie Miller Pod’ this month.
DeChambeau told Katie, the wife of White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, ‘Artemis just went around the moon. So I do believe if we spent a lot of our resources like they say we did, I think we did.
‘I don’t think the footage is real. But I think we did go to the moon. I don’t know about the footage. It’s quite… It’s quite wild.’

Golf fans were collectively angry with DeChambeau’s opinion, with some expressing that they were ‘done’ with his antics.
‘I’ve tried so hard to like Bryson, chalking up his strange behavior to being a bit quirky or whatever. I’m done. This was it for me. He’s a full blown dips**t,’ wrote one user on X.
Another said, ‘Maybe this bozo should watch less footage of the moon landing and worry more about the practice range with his recent efforts.’
‘More real than whatever the hell YouTube golf is,’ another user posted.
The last comment is in reference to the rising popularity of DeChambeau’s YouTube channel.
Amid uncertainty with the future of LIV Golf, DeChambeau has indicated he may turn to YouTube full time rather than return to the PGA Tour.
‘I’m in that weird space right now, I don’t know what to do, either: Content creation or professional golf,’ DeChambeau told Miller. ‘I don’t know what to do right now.’
When asked whether he makes more money in YouTube or from LIV, DeChambeau – whose channel has over 2.7million subscribers – replied, ‘I’d say they’re about the same. If you’re up at that level and content creation, they are very, very similar.’
