England sealed a record eighth consecutive Women’s Six Nations title and a fifth successive Grand Slam, extending their winning run to 38 matches with a fine victory over France.

John Mitchell’s Red Roses side rubberstamped their status as the female game’s dominant force with a 43-28 success, led by their star player Ellie Kildunne who was player of the match and scored twice.

Jess Breach also notched a brace, with Sarah Bern and Amy Cokayne completing the scoring. England’s performance was incredibly impressive given their opposition.

France were outstanding, particularly in the first quarter with their physicality and intent standing out.

Their captain Pauline Bourdon Sansus scored twice but it still wasn’t enough to stop England who repelled the French power not once, but twice.
