Jacksonville Jaguars fans have been left stunned after quarterback Trevor Lawrence had his famous flowing locks cut off for their schedule release video.
The inventive media departments of NFL teams published their highly-anticipated videos for 2026 on Thursday night and few caused more of a stir than Jacksonville’s.
Titled ‘The Cut’, Lawrence can be seen sitting down in a barbers’ chair with his luscious blond locks on show while a barber wearing a Jaguars jersey puts a Jaguars-themed cape around him.
The team’s schedule for next season then starts to appear on the screen as the barber grabs his scissors and starts cutting.
With huge strands of hair falling to the ground, more of their games came up on screen and fans are treated to brief glimpses of the cut as it’s happening.
But once the schedule release is complete, the barber spins Lawrence around and the quarterback is left with an extremely sharp cut in comparison to what he had before.

Fans were left horrified by the final product, with some claiming it was a wig or even AI
Some fans thought it was a wig but others took to social media to share their horror and savage the cut.
One commented: ‘Ok this cut is hideous. Please be a joke’.
Another added: ‘That gotta be a wig. I don’t even hate Trevor Lawrence this much to give him that bad of a haircut’.
‘Man that cut is atrocious,’ one fan replied, while another described it as ‘brutal’.
Another compared Lawrence to Ellen DeGeneres
‘Look at how they massacred my boy,’ another shocked fan replied.
One particularly negative Jaguars fan even declared their season ‘over’ before it’s even started.
Among the claims that it was either a wig or an AI stunt, the Jaguars posted a photo of Lawrence and his new look with the caption: ‘AI could never’.
Earlier this week, Lawrence’s wife Marissa teased the prospect of her husband getting his hair cut off by posting a picture of clumps of hair on the floor.
The couple are high school sweethearts and met in 2016. They got engaged in 2020 and married just a year later.
In January 2025, they welcomed their first child together – a daughter named Shae Lynn.
The Jaguars took Lawrence with the No. 1 overall pick out of Clemson in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Last season was the second time he had led them to the playoffs, after the 2022 season, but they were beaten by the Buffalo Bills in the first round.
