Stephen Colbert was feeling amorous on Tuesday night’s edition of The Late Show.
The late-night host — whose long-running show is now just a week away from ending for good — shared kisses with guests Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Pedro Pascal during the episode.
It comes after fellow talk show hosts Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, John Oliver and Seth Meyers appeared on The Late Show Monday and were collectively asked, “Have you guys ever made out with a guest on camera?”
Colbert replied by looking pointedly at Fallon, who asked, “Why would you look at me like this?”
“‘Cause I think you’ve made out with guests on camera,” Colbert replied, to which Fallon answered, “No, I think you just want to make out with me.”
Colbert then pulled Fallon in for a kiss, after which the Tonight Show host remarked, “Wow! Did not see it going there.”
Colbert went on to reveal that he’s shared on-screen kisses with Sally Field, Andrew Garfield, Helen Mirren, Allison Janney and Jeff Daniels during his time on the CBS program.
“Jane Fonda, we did not make out, but she stuck her tongue in my ear,” he added.
During her appearance Tuesday, Louis-Dreyfus reminded Colbert of the conversation and insinuated that she would like to join his list of kisses.
“No one’s watching. It’s just between us,” the Veep star said, to which the host replied, “What harm is there?”
“None! What could possibly go wrong?” Louis-Dreyfus joked, drawing laughter from the audience.
The pair then shared a kiss as the room erupted in cheers. “Well, the interview’s going great so far,” Colbert quipped. “Why don’t we do another take?”

Pascal was next to sit on Colbert’s couch and immediately pointed to his lips before sharing a kiss with the host.
“I got jealous,” Pascal quipped, to which Colbert responded, “No need! Anytime. These lips will soon be free.”
It was announced last July that CBS would be canceling The Late Show in what the network described as “financial decision.”
The cancellation sparked speculation as it came shortly after Colbert criticized Paramount over its controversial $16 million settlement with President Donald Trump tied to a 60 Minutes lawsuit. Colbert called the settlement a “big fat bribe” because Paramount was simultaneously seeking federal approval for its merger with Skydance Media.
Meanwhile, CBS staffers told The Independent it was a continuation of the “Trump shakedown” that began with the settlement.
After departing late night, Colbert’s next role will see him write a new Lord of the Rings film.
It was Peter Jackson who shared the surprise news in March with a video in which he and Colbert announced the project, currently titled The Lord of the Rings: Shadow of the Past.
