U.S. soccer legend Alex Morgan and her husband Servando Carrasco have announced they are expecting their third child.

The couple revealed the news in an emotional Instagram post on Mother’s Day.

Morgan, 36, and Carrasco, 37, already share daughter Charlie, born in 2020, and son Enzo, who was born last year.

In the post, the family of four can be seen stepping over Morgan’s phone and out onto the beach in front of a glorious sunset.

With Enzo in Carrasco’s arms, they stop and Charlie kisses her mom’s exposed stomach before Morgan and Carrasco exchange a kiss with his hand on her stomach.

She captioned the post: ‘Mother’s Day feeling extra special this year. Excited to welcome baby #3 this Fall’.

Brittany Mahomes was among the first to comment, replying: ‘Congrats!!!’

The NWSL commented: ‘Charlie and Enzo will be the best siblings.’

Fellow soccer stars Ali Kreiger and Mallory Swanson also sent their best wishes, as did U.S. track Olympic superstar Allyson Felix.

Morgan, the fifth-highest scorer in US women’s national team history, announced her retirement from professional soccer in September 2024.

She won two World Cups and one Olympic gold medal with the national team, for whom she appeared 224 times and scored 123 goals.

Prior to her final game with the San Diego Wave, the striker walked onto the field with daughter Charlie in an emotional scene.

She was also brought flowers by her daughter after the game.
