Olympic pole vaulter Alysha Newman is auditioning to become a Victoria’s Secret model after she was recently banned from competing due to missed drug tests.
The Canadian athlete and OnlyFans star, 31, has been suspended from the sport for 20 months after she did not complete three drug tests throughout a 12-month period.
She announced Tuesday that she is using her newfound time away from track and field to pursue modeling opportunities after she received an invitation from the iconic lingerie brand to attend an in-person casting call for the chance to walk in the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
The annual fashion show is scheduled to return in the fall after the 2025 show aired in October. The company announced a nationwide casting call to select new models last month, with applications closing May 28, 2026.
The Team Canada star shared a clip of her audition to TikTok and tagged the brand, writing, “See you soon.”

Newman won bronze for Canada at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she famously drew criticism after twerking to celebrate her win. She has also competed in two world championship finals and was a gold and bronze medalist at the Commonwealth Games.
Outside of sport, she has modeled before for lingerie label Agent Provocateur and launched partnerships with brands like Nike and Swiss watch brand Rado.
The Athletics Integrity Unit said in a press release about their verdict that Newman was unavailable for an unannounced doping test in February last year, and then did not show for two more tests in August.
The three failures are considered a violation of the sport’s global anti-doping rules, which require athletes to give a one-hour period each day in which they will be available to give a sample for drug testing.

Newman told the AIU that she missed the February test because she could not find her car key, according to the unit. She did not explain why she missed her second test, but told the track and field investigators that she had to postpone her third test because she was filming a TV gameshow. Although she submitted her test later that day, officials determined that she had violated the system’s rules.
Her suspension will expire in August 2027. She was only handed a punishment lasting 20 months, instead of the standard two years, because the AIU said she had decided to end her career.
Newman has not announced her retirement plans yet. Her future in the sport is unclear, although she said in her Victoria’s Secret audition that she recently moved to Los Angeles amid her suspension.
