‘Everton’s record here is AVERAGE’

I think there will be a late dash to the press seats here by the Mersey. Everyone in the media centre has a close eye on the Hearts-Rangers game and doubtless David Moyes will be aware of the proceedings too. Moyes, of course, started his career as a young central defender at Celtic.

Here at the Hill-Dickison Stadium, I think Moyes’ team will have it all on to keep Manchester City at bay.

This is a great stadium but Everton’s record here is actually pretty average – they have won six of their 17 Premier League games here – and they also are a little under-strength.

City, meanwhile, have had a rest and are packed to the gills with attacking talent. It’s hard to see them being denied here.
