New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson was lucky his display of athleticism didn’t Set It Off with a very notable Atlanta Hawks fan during Game 6 of the Eastern Conference first-round.

The Knicks completely obliterated the Hawks after jumping out to a 47-point lead at halftime, setting an NBA playoff record in the process.

It was at the end of the first half that Brunson attempted to make a heroic play by diving into the stands to chase after a loose ball.

But in the process, he crashed straight into one of the fans sitting courtside, sending both of them to the ground.

After Brunson got up, he discovered that the person he collided with was none other that Louisiana native and rapper Boosie – also known as Lil’ Boosie and Boosie BadAzz.

While Brunson tried helping him up, Boosie – born Torrence Ivy Hatch Jr – clutched his knee as he writhed around on the ground in ‘pain’ from the collision.

Once Brunson realized that the ‘Wipe Me Down’ performer was just playing, he jogged away to get back to the play.

Boosie, who is a big Hawks fan despite being from New Orleans Pelicans territory, then was seen smacking the court in anger before proceedings got back to normal.

The rapper has had a slew of controversies and legal issues – including when he faced trial for first-degree murder before being found not guilty.

He also has faced criticism for his homophobic statements – including against the transgender daughter of Dwyane Wade and rapper Lil Nas X, the latter of whom he urged to commit suicide.

Unfortunately for Boosie’s Hawks, they could not overcome the massive deficit and ended up falling 140-89 – eliminating them from the playoffs.

OG Anunoby scored 29 points in 27 minutes and Karl-Anthony Towns had his second triple-double of the series as the Knicks recorded their biggest playoff victory in franchise history.
