Thousands of adjustable dumbbells sold at Walmart have been recalled after 115 reports of the weight plates dislodging.

According to a recent report from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Tzumi Electronics is recalling 50,000 of its FitRx SmartBell Quick-Select 5-52.5-lbs. Adjustable Dumbbells. The product was sold for $10 at Walmart stores nationwide and on Walmart.com from January 2024 to November 2024.

Along with the 115 reports of the dumbbell’s weight plates dislodging, according to the commission, there have been at least six injuries, including broken toes, bruises, contusions and lacerations.

Recalled dumbbells — which can be adjusted from two and a half pounds to 52 pounds — have the model number 8361. Affected products have the serial numbers KK23288361 through KK23388361 and KK207608361 through KK21347836.

The package includes handles, weight plates and a molded plastic storage tray, all featuring black coloring with red accents.

Customers who own the dumbbells are encouraged to write “Recalled” across the tray with permanent spray paint or marker, and register their product on FitRx’s recall website. Once registration is confirmed, they can dispose of the weights and expect to receive a free replacement dumbbell and tray.

The dumbbells are one of many popular products that have been recalled by the CPSC across the U.S.

Last week, more than 200,000 pairs of heated socks were recalled after multiple reported injuries. The garments, branded as 32 Degrees Heated Socks, were on sale at Costco stores and online from August 2025 to March 2026.

When worn during high-intensity activities that generate friction, heat, moisture and pressure, the socks can pose “an injury hazard including burns,” the commission has warned. Roughly 14 incidents have been reported, with 13 involving first or second-degree burns.

Earlier this month, about 740,000 sets of Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue stainless steel sauté pans, sold at Costco, Walmart and Amazon, were recalled. The pans were sold in a two-piece set between August 2021 and February 2026 for around $40.

When announcing the recall, the CPSC warned that the metal cap on the screw, connecting the pan to the handle, can detach and “forcefully eject” when heated.

New York-based E Mishan & Sons, Inc., which imported the pans, received nearly 100 reports of the cap becoming detached and ejecting from the pan. One of those incidents resulted in the consumer suffering from bruising and burn injuries.
