Jules Neale has revealed that her two children are her ‘absolute world’ as she navigates life after the breakdown of her marriage and prepares for her first Mother’s Day since the scandal that drove a wedge into her family.

The 36-year-old has put the breadth of the country between her and her estranged husband Lachie by moving back to her hometown of Perth to live with daughter Piper and son Freddie while he remains in Brisbane.

Last week Jules gave her followers a glimpse into the intense effects of the split by revealing she had been crying for an hour straight after receiving hypnotherapy.

Now the influencer has opened up about what brings her joy amid the heartbreak with what’s sure to be an emotional Mother’s Day just two weeks away.

‘Mother’s Day this year is looking a little different,’ Jules told News Corp.

‘But my kids are my absolute world and literally the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

‘They make every single day brighter and I don’t take a moment of it for granted.’

Jules is now looking forward to paying her mum back for being her rock when Mother’s Day rolls around on May 10.

‘Mother’s Day has always meant so much to me and I’m excited to be able to celebrate with my own mum this year,’ she said.

‘She’s been an incredible support over the last few months to me and the kids.

‘We’re planning to have a big family lunch with my brothers, their partners and kids, so it will be a beautiful day spent together.’

Jules was in a far less happy frame of mind on Saturday, when she posted a blistering comment to Instagram after Lachie’s team, the Brisbane Lions, posted a video of their daughter Piper crying with her dad.

The Lions posted a short clip of Piper in tears as she embraced her father just before kickoff in his 300th AFL match at a packed MCG on April 19.

The club captioned the video ‘Our shy queen’ but Jules was having none of it.

‘She’s not shy. She’s scared and it’s not funny,’ Jules wrote.

The WAG turned influencer divulged some extremely private information on how she’s rebounding from the scandal as she detailed the effects therapy has had on her.

‘Don’t mind my appearance, I’ve just been crying for an hour straight because I did hypnotherapy,’ she said in an Instagram video posted last Tuesday.

‘It was incredible. I just wanted to share it because I thought, like, if anyone’s dealing with anything emotionally – any kind of trauma or anything that you go to normal talk therapy for, maybe try hypnotherapy as well, because I feel like that did a lot more for me in one session than talk therapy has before.

‘It kind of delves a little bit deeper, I suppose. It was really incredible.’

That revelation came hot on the heels of Lachie breaking his silence about the situation in detail for the first time.

The Brownlow Medal winner once again pointed the finger of blame at himself in a radio interview on April 16, after admitting the split was his fault in guarded remarks at a press conference in January.

He spoke about the ‘crazy’ toll the scandal has taken on him and his loved ones as he revealed his shock at the level of scrutiny he’s been under from the media.

Neale said the last few months have been ‘challenging’ before claiming there has been a silver lining to the upheaval in his personal life.

‘I think in a way it was a form of therapy to just go and train and look after myself,’ he said.

‘I didn’t really drink at all or anything in that period, I felt like I really had to knuckle down and narrow my focus on my football and being there for my kids when I could.

‘In a weird way, it helped my football.

‘I was able to really concentrate on getting the most out of myself and making sure I was prepared.

‘I felt like I had let a lot of people down, so I wanted to redeem myself in a way, by the way I came back into the preseason and games, in particular.

‘It felt like a year and a half wait for that [first game] during the preseason, but I was glad to get back on the field.

‘I was itching to get back onto the field and do what I love.’
