  • Polarising comments have surfaced in new video

Controversial internet star Braden ‘Clavicular’ Peters has blasted men who wear the jersey of their favourite sporting team in bizarre comments made on a podcast with Aussie influencer Jon-Bernard Kairouz.

Peters has appeared in a series of clips alongside Kairouz which were published on social media just a day before he was hospitalised after a suspected overdose.

The 20-year-old is one of the most high-profile faces of looksmaxxing, the social media trend that sees young men go to extreme lengths to become as attractive as possible.

One video features Kairouz asking whether specific elements of Aussie culture are ‘jester’, which is slang for a foolish waste of time in the looksmaxxing community.

He asked the US influencer whether ‘passionately supporting your NRL team’ fits the bill.

‘People who wear like sports jerseys, and they’ll say things like, “We’re gonna win the Super Bowl next year.” Who the f**k is we?’ Clavicular responded.

‘You’re just a fat loser sitting there drinking beer, watching sports.’

Peters went on to blast people who engage in other popular pastimes.

Asked if ‘having a beer at the pub with the boys’ is acceptable, he branded it jester because beer contains ‘calories, ethanol’ and is ’50 times more estrogenic than soy sauce’.

Peters thought going to Europe for the northern summer isn’t a ‘bad idea’ for people who have the money, but ‘trying to find your girlfriend on a dating app’ is ‘just ridiculous’ because your future girlfriend would be having conversations with ‘hundreds’ of other men.

Surfing and camping in the outback were branded jester ‘unless you’re making content’ to go online, and joining a run club is ‘absolutely jester’ because the people you’d meet ‘would not be of any value’.

Peters’ comments surfaced just days after he appeared in an interview on 60 Minutes Australia that has since gone viral.

His beliefs centre on the idea that appearance is the basis for all success, particularly when it comes to getting attention from women.

It’s a stance the looksmaxxing community shares with incels, or involuntary celibates, who are men who blame women for their non-existent sex lives.

When 60 Minutes reporter Adam Hegarty asked Peters about the link to incels, he immediately became defensive and said, ‘I’m not linked to that group in any way.’

Peters walked out on the interview when Hegarty asked him about hanging out with Andrew Tate, the controversial manosphere influencer who under investigation for alleged human trafficking in Romania.

He has admitted to using methamphetamine to ‘suppress appetite’, and regularly taps a hammer on his face in what he calls ‘bone smashing’ to make his cheekbones and jawline more prominent.

Peters has made a fortune on social media.

He is said to rake in as much as $100,000 a month from his online content, and boasts more than half a million followers on Instagram.
