Bojan Miovski believes Rangers are beginning to hit peak form at the right time of the season after storming to an emphatic victory at Falkirk.

Rangers were slow out of the blocks and a poor start saw them fall 2-0 behind on Sunday away at a Falkirk side who had already secured their place in the top six.

But Danny Rohl’s men roared back to win 6-3 in the end, showing an impressive level of firepower and attacking verve in the second half.

The victory moved Rangers back to within a point of leaders Hearts in a thrilling title race and, having scored 14 league goals in their last three matches, Miovski feels Rangers are hitting top gear at the ideal time.

‘The league is like a marathon, it’s not one game,’ said the North Macedonian striker, who came off the bench to score two of Rangers’ six goals.

‘So, of course, you have ups and downs. The previous game was not good away at Falkirk [a 1-1 draw back in October].

‘Now we are in a situation where we are one point behind. So, as I say, consistency is the key and I think the last couple of games we played really good and it was positive things.

‘It doesn’t matter how the result is, we always go for a goal. We don’t want to defend or keep the result.

‘We’re at Rangers, we’re a club that wants to dominate and score as much as we can. We’ll see in the end what happens.

‘We want to get the three points and keep on scoring as much as we can. That is the key for us.

‘In this kind of situation [being 2-0 down], you need to stay calm. It’s still 45 minutes to play and, of course, we can turn on the game.

‘We just need to stay calm. We see what we did wrong in the first half and, of course, we create more chances in the second half and, of course, we score.

‘Every striker wants to score goals and win titles. So, of course, I would like to help the team to win the title.’

Miovski came on as a substitute at half-time and played with Youssef Chermiti up front as Rohl switched to a flat 4-4-2.

Miovski has not played with Chermiti a huge amount this season, but it was a partnership which looked like it could well bear fruit.

The two strikers netted two goals apiece and their movement caused Falkirk a lot of problems as Rangers ran riot in the second half.

Although he was disappointed not to start the match, Miovski sees no reason why the pair can’t continue to partner each other up front.

‘Every player needs to be ready,’ he said. ‘I came on second half and helped the team.

‘At previous clubs, I played as two strikers and I also played alone. So, for me, it doesn’t matter. I just want to play.

‘It’s like you have someone close to you who can help you. When you play alone, you are more waiting in the box and waiting for the wingers.

‘But yeah, it’s up to the coach to choose who to start. It’s competition. I’m always ready, work hard and wait for my chance. So, when my chance comes, I’m ready to take it.’
