The cast of Laguna Beach have reunited for the first time since 2006 — and fans are loving it.
MTV’s reality show followed the lives of several high school seniors, including Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari. The first show of its kind, Laguna Beach laid the groundwork for MTV’s wildly popular spin-off series, The Hills.
The special, released Friday on The Roku Channel, reunited Conrad and Cavallari along with their castmates Stephen Colletti, Lo Bosworth, Talan Torriero, Trey Phillips, Christina Shuller, Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith, Morgan Smith and Alex Hooser.
Fans were instantly brought back to the mid-2000s from the moments the show’s theme song, “Come Clean” by Hilary Duff, began to play, with one writing on X, “i just got to the credits of the laguna beach reunion and i’m already crying.”
“Watching the Laguna Beach reunion has me so emotional. Life was so different back in 2004,” a fan wrote while another said, “The Laguna Beach reunion is the therapy I didn’t know I needed.”

“I didn’t expect to be fully crying multiple times during the Laguna beach reunion,” someone else chimed in as another agreed, “Watching the Laguna Beach Reunion and I’m in shambles. It’s the nostalgia of it all,”
“Watching the Laguna Beach reunion on @TheRokuChannel & why??? am I??? in my feelings?? I wish Team Kristin or Team Lauren was my biggest decision these days,” someone else wrote, referring to the Conrad versus Cavallari feud that permeated not only the show but pop culture throughout the 2000s and 2010s.
“The Laguna Beach reunion special healed something in me. This was eeeeverything to my teenage LB loving heart. What an era it was to be young. So great to see how everyone turned out and doing well,” another fan said.
Hosted by Saturday Night Live alum Casey Wilson, the reunion special looked back on the friendships and highlights of the series, which ran for three seasons from 2004 to 2006. The cast returned for a sit-down conversation to reflect on the series, with scenes filmed at their old haunts interspersed throughout.
Several cast members grew emotional at various points during the reunion, including when reliving their high school graduation. More tears were shed later on during a montage of family-centered moments from the show. There was even a hint of the show’s signature drama, as Conrad and Cavallari sat down together for their first-ever one-on-one on-camera interview.

However, there were plenty of smiles and laughs shared, too.
“This is a serious full-circle moment,” Colletti later said while reflecting on the experience of coming back together 20 years later.
“I can’t imagine doing this without everyone,” Cavallari said. “I’m glad that we’re all still in this together.”
The Reunion: Laguna Beach is available to stream on The Roku Channel.
