Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones believes President Donald Trump is under “demonic influences” and is acting like a “super villain,” after the commander-in-chief distanced himself from the podcaster.
Jones, who founded the online platform InfoWars, was an early convert to Trump’s MAGA movement, with the president first appearing on his show in 2015. However, these latest comments show a growing rift in the MAGA base with the president.
Several pivotal MAGA supporters, including Marjorie Taylor-Greene and Tucker Carlson, have distanced themselves from the president over issues including the Epstein files release and the reversal of one of his central campaign promises not to start any more wars.

“At the end of the day I just feel sorry for him and pray that God touch his heart and soul and free him from the demonic influences that he’s under. I mean it’s just that simple.
“This is a nightmare. We know that the Democrats, the left, are absolutely terrible, but when Trump’s calling for wiping out whole civilizations and acting like a super villain, I have to come out and say I don’t support it. It’s that simple,” Jones said in a video posted from the driver’s seat of his car.
The host went on to discuss Trump’s involvement with Epstein, citing how First Lady Melania Trump gave an unannounced press conference on Thursday, where she said that Epstein’s victims should be given the opportunity to testify to Congress.
“Looks to me like she’s breaking with Trump because she knows the ship’s sinking, and found out the truth,” said Jones.

Melania Trump also said during this press conference that she had no connection to Epstein.
This is not the first time that Jones has criticized the president, who once seemed totally invincible to criticism from his base.
The broadcaster has also said that he believes Congress needs to “25th Amendment [Trump’s] ass.” This refers to the amendment to the Constitution that enables Congress to remove a mentally unfit president.
This was in response to Trump’s Truth Social statement that Iran’s “civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again.”
Jones called this statement genocidal in intent, writing on X, “Trump literally sounds like an unhinged super villain from a Marvel comic movie. This IS NOT WHAT WE VOTED FOR!!”

He was joined in his calls to invoke the 25th Amendment by Democratic lawmakers who urged Congress to reconvene from its Easter break for a vote.
Attacking “Bankrupt” Jones on Truth Social, the president said, “[Jones] says some of the dumbest things, and lost his entire fortune, as he should have, for his horrendous attack on the families of the Sandy Hook shooting victims, ridiculously claiming it was a hoax.”
Jones was found guilty in a nearly $1.5 billion defamation suit for claiming the Sandy Hook mass shooting was a hoax.
