Funding to support community and voluntary groups to update, enhance, and improve their facilities

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council’s Capital Premises and Equipment Grants aim to update, enhance, and improve facilities and/or equipment for community, voluntary, and charitable groups and organisations.

There are two grants available within this programme.

Capital Premises Grant Fund (Facilities Enhancement)

Capital project support for applicants who wish to increase capacity or participation through minor improvements to facilities.

100% funding up to £15,000 is available.

Equipment Grant Fund

Support to purchase equipment that will benefit the group and the community.

100% funding up to £5,000 is available.

Eligibility

These grants are open to community, voluntary, and charitable groups and organisations that have been established for at least ten years within the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough.

Organisations clearly need to evidence need, particularly where financial support is limited from other funding sources.

Applications close on Friday 15 May 2026.
